Ok- Lets start the suggestions rolling! First off! There needs to be a better way to tally the competition results. I suggest a spreadsheet (if someone wants to lug a computer). I also suggest, preprinted score cards- or rather a xerox score sheet handed to each player when they arrive at the event. That would be bitchin' as it'd be a lot easier to read consistent answers (or rather circled numbers) than an assortment of chicken scratched chits. It also decreases the margin of error in that the players cannot misunderstand the judging criteria or write in a number like 3.65 and knock the entire system out of whack. Oh and since I've been watching Iron Chef religiously- and the cooking community has added a fifth flavor, we should add a new element to the scoring- Just so were changing shit up a little.
We should also see if we can get a smoke machine. But that's just me being deviant. Maybe the 5th element should be "Use of Props" That might just encourage a new world of wackiness.

I'm on the spreadsheet. Already made it, actually. Printing Iron DM score cards to make reading them easier, handing those out at the door, etc. Yep. I think we even talked about that last time. Already on it. You read minds. Am already planning to add a new judging criteria. Nice. I would LOVE a smoke machine. Love love love love it! I wish I still fit my tux. I'd wear it to MC.

How about reporting from the floor, in the style of say Kevin Braush?
A video message from the "nimble chair person" Nick Logue. What would be super kick ass if you could get him to video tape the SECRET INGREDIENTS. We could pretend its live but have it prerecorded. "And now we take you to a live feed- directly from his secret location deep in the Jungles of Borneo, our chairman Nicolas Logue will announce this years SECRET INGREDIENTS!!!!!" That would be kick ass.

That WOULD be pretty damn kick-ass. Let me see if I can arrange it. Won't be secret, though, as you just posted the idea publicly.

So, how did the competitors feel about the changes this year? I miss being able to work tables and pimp out my friends to great DMs so they could have a good time. On the other hand, I suppose there's no truer test than being assigned to a cold table of people who already game with the defending champion.
I also missed hearing everyone say why they'd win the tournament. That was always the question with the funniest answer.

Good idea. Maybe instead of the "why are you iron" we can substitute "why will you win this year..."
It needs to be just one question, because otherwise the intros run way too long. We saved the extra questions for the previous winners.
